Parent Testimonials

Jennie has gone above and beyond in supporting our son, A (age 9), with his dyslexia. Her dedication is truly remarkable — she’s created various personalised football-themed games to keep him engaged and motivated. A was really struggling with confidence at school, but thanks to Jennie’s patient and creative approach, we’ve seen a huge improvement not only in his skills but in his self belief too. We’re so grateful for the positive impact she’s had.

Jennie Ramsay is a great teacher, but what makes her great? To my mind it’s her determined pursuit of educational success through understanding the unique needs of each of her pupils. My adolescent child has a range of specific learning challenges; Jennie has worked with them as a private tutor for some years. I have been consistently impressed by Jennie’s professionalism, flexibility and insightful humanity.

I really do not know where to start words just are not enough when it comes to the amazing work of Mrs Ramsay. We have been so lucky to work with Mrs Ramsay for a number of years and now in her new hat as Jennie Jay Tutoring.

Our daughter is dyslexic and Mrs Ramsay has worked with us on a weekly basis to support her in a school move.

Her teaching is extraordinary, her care and kindness is never ending. Her support for us as a family has been priceless and we simply cannot recommend her enough.

We have received comprehensive written feedback on what our daughter has learnt each week. She has helped us navigate the world of new schools assisting us with making sure that the correct support is in place.

Mrs Ramsay has supported us though the challenge of school exam week helping with strategies of study and simply been a wonderful ear for our daughter when she has needed support.

Her structured learning is presented in a way that makes what may be daunting manageable.

We cannot recommend Mrs Ramsay highly enough and if you are fortunate to work with her you are indeed very very lucky.

Grow, believe and flourish, you can with JJT.

Professional, friendly and supportive, Jennie takes time to listen.  She is proactive, approachable and always fair.  Under Jennie’s expert leadership, my daughter has gone from a struggling 11-year-old to a confident young lady who earned herself the first academic scholarship Kilgraston had ever awarded a dyslexic student and now with Jennie as a mentor after school, my daughter has achieved her first work-based accountancy qualification!

Thank you, Jennie, you have taken time to support my daughter in her secondary school years, giving her a toolkit of strategies and techniques to help with the challenges faced by dyslexia.  But, by recognising and encouraging the things my daughter excels at too, you continue to boost her confidence and strengthen her resilience.  I cannot rate you highly enough, Jennie – thank you for everything.
